Good Day World,
I was born and raised inside the Capitol Beltway just outside of Washington DC. I had two children and moved to Maine to raise them away from city strife. I have worked in healing services since 1972 when I began as a Candy Striper at a local hospital. I am happily married and have a wonderful and gentle rescue dog who is a camel colored retriever / greyhound mix.
I went to work with individuals who had various disabilities ranging from ADHD to severe physical issues. This led me to move my kiddos to Maine where I obtained an Associates of Science in Occupational Therapy. I remain a licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. Later I attended Grand Canyon University where I obtained a BS in Addictions and a MS in Professional Counseling.
I enjoy working with children, those suffering with mood disorders and assisting the disenfranchised reenter society in a positive and productive manner. Additionally, I look forward to hearing from anyone who needs a listening ear, sounding board, or even just someone to vent to.
